Pahingen is a tradition in Dayak community that a husband whose wife is pregnant with their baby, must be able to control himself in every word, attitude and actions. Because if the husband is out of control, such as cutting the hands of kalawet, a kind of monkey, it is feared that the child will be born, disability in the hands.
