For the people of Dayak, human blood has a special meaning. Blood symbolizes devotion to the highest, for example, when a Dayak take a vow, or adoptive brother, sometimes they do hakinan daha hasapan belom/belum/ tradition, which means exchange of blood. Slightly wounded right thumb to spend a little blood, and then three drops of blood from each other of those who swore included or mixed with a little sticky rice, another one to give each other, exchange, and sticky rice is eaten.
Similarly, in case of bloody murder, especially when the murdered is a well-respected, so in order the murderer not accurst or damned, the killer quickly wiped his victim's blood with his finger and then licked the blood rushed or put on the forehead with the intention that it be free from the curse of the victim.
